Botswana’s Mophato Dance Theatre Reaches Finals at World Dance Festival in South Korea

Mophato Dance Theatre has made Botswana proud by qualifying for the finals at the prestigious World Dance Festival currently taking place in Seoul, South Korea.

Out of 39 top-tier international dance groups, Mophato has secured a spot in the Top 9, positioning themselves for a shot at the crown in tomorrow’s grand finale.

Under the visionary leadership of Andrew Kola, the troupe will once again take the stage to share Botswana’s story through dance, competing against some of the world’s finest performing arts groups. Their journey so far has showcased not only exceptional talent but also the richness of Botswana’s culture and storytelling tradition.

The finals promise a vibrant celebration of global artistry — and Mophato is ready to leave their mark.
