Botswana National Front (BNF) has today updated the nation on the going ons at the party.
The BNF stated that it has since resolved that President Duma Boko be deployed at the Umbrella For Democratic Change (UDC) National Executive Committee alongside Moses Bontsi, Dr Stephen Modise, and Monica Molome.
This was revealed today in a press briefing held by the central committee following their retreat held this past weekend.
According to the BNF vice president Moeti Mohwasa, the party has further resolved to review its constitution.
Further, the central committee decided that BNF primary elections would be held at least a year before the elections.
Furthermore, Secretary General Stephen Modise confirmed that the party is in the process of improving its membership registration process. He noted that the party has resolved to reach all the corners of the country.
Modise said the membership registration system has been digitalised, thereby ensuring that people from all over the country are easily reached.
In addition, he noted that a leadership forum will be in Francistown from the 6th to the 8th of March this year.
The BNF central committee stated that the party conference will be held in Kasane or Maun.
Also, part of the resolution tabled by the party is that it holds regional tours in seeking to unify the organisation.
Meanwhile, in another related party issue, the treasurer’s office will on 11th April this year host 68th celebration Gala Dinner at Royal Aria in Tlokweng.
Even so, pertaining to the ongoing criticism, the BNF revealed that they are not moved by attempts by opposition parties to oust President Duma Gideon Boko through a motion of no confidence. The party leadership said these were attempts to taint the president’s efforts to improve lives for persons from all walks of life in the country.
