PARLIAMENT TO AMEND STANDING ORDERS TO HAVE “BABY OF THE HOUSE” TITLE- KEORAPETSE

The speaker of the National Assembly, Dithapelo Keorapetse has hinted that
Parliament will amend standing orders, and add a clause, “Baby of the House”, this therefore denotes honorable Lesego Chombo as Baby of the House.

Keorapetse disclosed this at an ongoing press conference held in anticipation of the Umbrella for Democratic Change government inaugural budget speech which will be delivered by the Vice President and Minister of Finance Ndaba Gaolathe on 10 February 2025.

At the moment Parliament only has Mother of the House and Father of the House as honorific titles given to its longest serving members.
