Clash of Legends to Distribute Proceeds from Annual Tournament to Support Former Footballers

Clash of Legends is set to host a live-streamed handover ceremony this Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. This ceremony will see the distribution of proceeds from their successful annual tournament, which has already concluded, in line with their charitable mandate.

The beneficiaries, who are usually disabled or otherwise incapacitated former footballers, will be revealed and receive their share of the funds from Season 3 during the event. This poignant ceremony will take place at the BTC Head Office in Megaleng, Main Mall, Gaborone. Partners of Clash of Legends have received a special invitation to join the event, which promises to be a significant moment for those who have dedicated their lives to the sport.

“Clash of Legends will this Friday reveal and distribute proceeds to our COL25 beneficiaries,” announced the organisation in a recent social media post, encouraging the public to “Watch the live stream at 10 am!” This initiative underscores the organisation’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the community, particularly to those who have contributed to the legacy of football but are now facing challenges.

This distribution highlights the profound charitable aspect of the “Clash of Legends” annual events, demonstrating how competitive gaming and entertainment can be leveraged to provide crucial support for vulnerable members of the sporting community. The organisation’s dedication to assisting former footballers in need has garnered widespread praise, solidifying their role not just as a sporting entity but also as a socially responsible contributor to the community’s welfare.

Attendees and viewers alike are encouraged to tune in to the live stream to witness the unveiling of the beneficiaries and the impactful distribution of funds, celebrating the positive change brought about by the “Clash of Legends” community. The organisation also expresses anticipation for partners to be present at their pre-match event, further cementing the collaborative spirit of their endeavours.
